How To Pick a Baby Stroller

Finding the right stroller can be difficult - read this article to find the best one for you.

When it comes to choosing a baby stroller, there’s so many options, sizes, designs, and brands to choose from. So, how do you know which stroller is right for you and your baby? That’s a difficult question, however, a question we intend to answer in this short article.

When looking for a baby stroller for travel, you should consider:

  • How easy is it to fold the stroller?
  • How much storage does the stroller have?
  • What is the weight of the stroller?
  • Are the handlebars high and comfortable enough?

We will now break these down one by one.

How easy is it to fold the stroller?

When choosing a baby stroller for travel, expect to be folding the stroller constantly - getting on and off of buses, in and out of cars, and compacting the stroller up to put inside the house.

That’s a lot of folding - ensure it’s easy to do.

How much storage does the stroller have?

The more storage the better, some strollers even have space to hold a car seat. If out on many walks, hikes, or perhaps even adventures, you want as much storage as you can get, somewhere to keep those nappies, a bottle of water, extra baby milk, and any other essentials.

What is the weight of the stroller?

When shopping, navigating tight isles, or even on a hike, the lighter your stroller the better. This allows you to maneuver with ease, performing a full 180-degree turn to pick up the dropped or perhaps thrown dummy, if required.

You want a stroller with a good size to weight ratio, plenty of storage, yet freedom to navigate those tight shop isles without the fear of knocking something over.

Are the handlebars high enough and comfortable enough?

Finally, the comfort and height of the handlebars are often overlooked. If the handlebars are either too high or too low, you will either kick the back of the stroller or stoop over it. Preferably, find ones that adjust, or ones that fit your height and gait.

We’ve gathered together two strollers that fulfill our criterion, you can find these below:

The audio parent unit works in conjunction with the app. It's seamless.

The range on the little audio unit is amazing. I can hear my baby even if I walk outside of my house.

Best Monitor

Loving our new Bebcare app monitor. Exactly what we wanted in a connected baby product.

Works great. A low EMF option for my baby

We went looking for a low EMF baby monitor. This Bebcare model ticks the right boxes. I like that the parent unit can be linked to 2 baby cams. This way I don't need to carry another parent unit screen to see my two children.

Smart monitor that works with a baby sensor mat. We appreciate the peace of mind

We like this smart Bebcare monitor. It works on both of our smartphones without issues. Pairing was pretty easy and we were able to get the whole thing setup within minutes. It's a pretty smooth experience overall.

The Bebcare SIDS detection sensor mat is a great addition that I really like. I find that the mat has the correct sensitivity level for my baby and mattress. We have gotten may be like two false alarms so far (6 months usage). I would say that we are less anxious because we know the monitor is watching over our baby.

Way better than the Owlet

So much more intuitive and easier to use than the Owlet Sock 3. We got this Bebcare after our friends recommended it to us.

Very happy with the camera. The picture quality is so good and clear. Also my phone can connect to the babe can even when I’m not using the home WiFi network.
